SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On September 24, 2017, at approximately 2238 hours, State Police received a report of a vehicle being driven erratically on US Route 7 in the Town of Ferrisburgh. State Police arrived in the area and located the vehicle in question parked at a residence. The operator was subsequently identified as Kaylie Flint (24) of Ferrisburgh. While speaking with Flint, Troopers detected signs of impairment and Flint was screened for DUI. Flint was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing. Flint was later released on a citation to appear in Addison County District Court on October 9, 2017.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On Saturday, September 23rd, 2017, at approximately 2006 hours, rescue services from the Starksboro Fire Department, Vergennes Rescue Squad and members of the Vermont State Police responded to Vermont Route 116 in the Town of Starksboro, Vermont, for a report of a car versus barn crash. 

 

Investigation at the scene found that 53 year old Lonny Urban of Starksboro, Vermont, was driving his 2011 Nissan Truck north on Vermont Route 116 when he sideswiped a guardrail, nearly struck an oncoming vehicle, traversed through a lawn and crashed into a barn.   Urban’s vehicle was found lodged inside of the barn.  Once Urban was removed from his vehicle by members of the Starksboro Fire Department, he was transported from the scene to the UVM Medical by the Vergennes Area Rescue Squad. 

 

While at the medical center Lonny Urban was screened and processed for DUI.  Urban is scheduled to appear in Addison Superior Court (Criminal Division) on December 18th, 2017. 

 

This incident remains an active investigation by the State Police.

complainant stated the bowling alley, Missisquoi Lanes, was broken into overnight.

Investigation revealed the double glass door was pried open overnight and an ATM had

been stolen from the property with an undisclosed amount of cash inside as well as $30

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On September 24, 2017, at approximately 1348 hours, Troopers at the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks were notified of a single motor-vehicle crash near 3859 Vermont Route 155, in the Town of Mount Holly, Vermont.

Initial investigation revealed that vehicle #1 was being operated by Operator #1 (Forthoffer) and was traveling northbound on Vermont Route 155. Operator #1 (Forthoffer) left his lane of travel, traveling off the east side of the roadway. Vehicle #1 went slightly downhill then over a driveway subsequently striking a group of trees with the front left portion of the vehicle. Vehicle #1 came to an uncontrolled rest facing north approximately 20 feet off the roadway.

The Vermont State Police were assisted by Mount Holly Fire Department, Ludlow Rescue, and Londonderry Rescue. The vehicle was removed by Executive Towing due to damage from the crash.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

State Police are investigating a burglary that occurred on Whitcombs Corner Road in Enosburg sometime between 09/04/2017 and 09/20/2017.  Forced entry was gained into the house through a side window.  Taken from the residence was a generator, Stihl chainsaw, Solar inverter, and some medications.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

                On 9/22/2017, at approximately 1858 hours, Vermont State Police, responded to a residence in the Town of Athens, for a 911 hang up. During the investigation it was determined that Jacob Anderson, had assaulted someone inside of the residence while holding a knife in a threatening manner. Anderson was arrested for First Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault and Violation of Conditions of Release. Anderson was transported to the Westminster State Police Barracks for Processing. Anderson was fingerprinted, photographed, and issued a citation for the above offense. The Honorable Judge Michael Kainen was contacted and ordered Anderson held without bail. Anderson was transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On September 22, 2017 at approximately 1907 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police – Shaftsbury Barracks were notified of an ATV crash located on an unmaintained road near County Road in the Town of Pownal, Vermont. It was reported that the crash involved one ATV, and injuries had resulted from the crash.

 

Investigation determined that the operator and sole occupant, Tammy J. Potter (50), was operating a 2013 Yamaha ATV (side by side). Potter lost control and was thrown from her ATV. Potter was not seat belted in the vehicle nor was she wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

 

Potter was pronounced deceased at the scene.

 

Members from the Bennington County Sheriff’s Office, Pownal Valley Fire Department, Bennington Rural Fire Department and Pownal Rescue assisted at the scene.

 

The crash is still under investigation at this time.
